Andy's journey
I grew up in a Christian household, on a farm in Cumbria. Although I believed in God from an early age, when I turned 18 I really experienced God taking hold of my life. I became greatly convicted of my need for Jesus and gave my life over to him. From that day I have had a great desire “to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me."
Tina's journey
I first trusted in Jesus at the age of 9, but in my late teens realised the need to submit my all to God, continually. I felt a strong sense of call to serve God, but had no idea what this would entail. I trained as a nurse, and met Andy whilst part way through this.
I have had the privilege of serving in various aspects of church life. Several years ago I felt God’s call again, but this time very specifically into ordained ministry. I still don’t know what this will look like longer-term, but I currently volunteer as part of the Pastoral Team at Garstang FMC as I work through the CMC (Conference Ministerial Candidacy) journey. I have recently begun teaching Theology, and still work a little as a Registered Nurse.
